Spiritual meaning of Dark-Eyed Junco.
I am so fond of these little birds. I’ll never forget when I was having a rough time and I looked over to see three of them on my balcony. Instantly changing my demeanour from one of despair to child-like wonder and gratitude. For in their presence I felt a message of encouragement, tenacity and trust.
Junco spirit has started showing up in my life again recently. To remind me to keep moving forward with determination, adaptability, faith and a sparkle in my eye. After seeing a group of three fly by today I knew it was time to share this message.
Junco shows up when we need a bit of encouragement. I think of them as sharing the message of “you got this”, “you can do it!”. Whatever we are facing in our life, we chose to face, and in knowing this we can relax and allow in intuitive guidance for the best feeling next step to take. It’s all going to be ok.
These birds are an emblem of tenacity. They are determined, and are continually working towards whatever is in front of them in the moment. Living year round in the Pacific Northwest comes with challenges as the seasons change but junco embraces them and makes the most of every day.
Junco reminds us to trust in ourselves and our path. That what we put our energy towards will pay off, in blessings or in lessons, or both. They remind us to trust in ourselves and our intuition, to trust in our hearts and in our dreams, and keep moving forward toward whatever is lighting us up.
Their black eyes and head remind us that we live in a field of infinite potential. Infinite possibilities. To trust that what is best for us is always on its way to us. Their brown body reminds us to stay grounded in Mother Earth, to be tenacious ensuring our needs are not only met, but that we are thriving. And their white tail feathers remind us of the constant encouragement and guidance we are always receiving from our Higher Self, Spirit Guides and the higher realms.
